JUNE 1ST- NEW DATE FOR SPRING DATA MEETING

WE HAVE MOVED THE SPRING DATA MEETING TO MONDAY JUNE 1ST in order to accommodate more of our families.  It will be in Francis Hall (31st and Lincoln) from 5:30-6:30 pm.  At this time we will report out to the school families our progress toward meeting the school wide goals and information that will help us understand all of the recent testing. This will give parents an idea of how our school and our students are doing in the key areas of Reading and Math.  We encourage everyone to attend.  This meeting will be presented in both English and Spanish.

Lenten Project 2015

"Luz Para Educacion: Light for Education"

The Luz Para Educacion project supports the purchase of indoor solar lights for families homes in the Dominican Republic who are a part of our sister parish, La Sagrada Familia in Sabana Yegua, Azua. This year we are supporting the mountainous communities who have no electricity at all. The project seeks to end the use of candles and propane lights which create home fires and unhealthy situations for children. Our school wide goal is to collect enough "alms" donations for 150 solar lights. Each light is $18.75. That averages out to a personal goal of $6.00 per child or $1.00 per week of Lent. We will be ending our Lenten Collection on May 15, 2015.

You can support these families with the gift of light. We are all the light of God's love.

October/November 2014

We celebrated All Saints and All Souls days with a beautiful all school mass.
We also studied the family traditions of honoring our departed loved ones with
the Day of the Dead, Dia De Los Muertos, celebrations.

Two of our wonderful parents helped the teachers and students to create ofrendas for both campus locations.
Thank you to Mrs. Miranda (South Campus) and Mrs. Reyes-Becceril (North Campus) for your effort and creativity.
Thank you to our Alverno Art Education Field student, Ms. Castro, for creating this beautiful bulletin board display.
